They extend their dominance! Chivas Femenil returns to victory at the expense of Atlas.

The Chivas women's team continues to assert its dominance in the Clásico Tapatío . This Sunday, at the Jalisco Stadium, the red-and-white team once again demonstrated who rules the city, defeating Atlas 2-0 and extending their streak to 12 consecutive matches without losing to their arch-rivals.
After overcoming the setback of failing to win in three consecutive matches of the 2025 Apertura, the team coached by Antonio Concretas found victory once again , at the expense of an Académica team that could do little to avoid defeat. Although they tried to contain the attack, an own goal by Dirce Delgado ultimately opened the door for Rebaño to secure their third consecutive victory in a women's Clásico Tapatío.
However, Chivas repeated the pattern. They controlled the first half, generated more dangerous plays, and put goalkeeper Camila Vázquez under pressure, but simply couldn't convert. The red-and-whites, focused on attacking, managed to break through the red-and-black defense, but their final touch failed to secure the goal that would have put them ahead at the start of the match.
For Atlas , the home team held their own, and the defense held off the opponent's attacks. Meanwhile, up front, Sanjuana Muñoz had the clearest chance for the Académicas, but despite being alone in front of goal, her shot went wide of the goal.
At the start of the second half, a mistake by the Rojiblanco defense allowed El Rebaño to open the scoring. Delgado was unwittingly involved in the goal, as Alicia Cervantes' header bounced off the defender's thigh, resulting in a locker-room goal for El Rebaño in the 47th minute.
After being outplayed, the red-and-blacks were unable to shake off the control . They attempted timid attacks on the red-and-white area, but these proved no challenge for goalkeeper Blanca Félix. Guadalajara, on the other hand, continued to persist, until a play between Carolina Jaramillo and "Licha" resulted in Cervantes' second goal of the night in the 70th minute.
Chivas thus moved up from eighth place to 13 points, while Atlas remained in tenth place with six points and five years without beating the Red and Whites.
