This sandy beach is special not only because of the turquoise Mediterranean waters that lap it, but also because its sand has a special hue: neither white nor gold, but a pinkish color that makes this beach a magical place. This incredible spot is located in a natural park and is actually an island that connects to Crete at low tide. The distinctive pink color of its sand is due to the fact that it's formed from crushed fragments of seashells, so the hue it gives the entire landscape is both unusual and spectacular.
