When a 25-year-old from the Opole Lubelskie area learned that his father was reporting him missing to the police station, he decided to act. He got in his car and headed to the police station to explain that he wasn't lost, that he just didn't want to be with his loved ones. His explanation was accepted. But that wasn't the end of it. The officers became interested in the fact that the man had arrived by car despite being... drunk.
A few days ago, an older man first showed up at the police station. Concerned, he asked for help in finding his son (25 years old), who had disappeared from home in agitation some time ago and has not been in contact with him.

It turned out to be the "missing" son of the reporting party. He explained that he hadn't disappeared anywhere, he just didn't want to be with his loved ones. And that would have been the end of the matter, if not for a certain detail.
– The police officers detected a strong odor of alcohol from the man and subjected him to a blood alcohol level test. A breathalyzer test showed that the 25-year-old from the Opole Lubelskie commune had over 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his body. Moreover, after checking the man in the police system, it turned out that he had an active court ban on driving motor vehicles – informs Senior Warrant Officer Katarzyna Bigos, spokeswoman for the District Police Headquarters in Opole Lubelskie.
The 25-year-old was arrested and placed in police custody. After sobering up, he was charged with driving a Volkswagen while intoxicated and violating a court order. He faces up to 5 years in prison, a fine, and a high cash benefit of PLN 5,000 to even PLN 60,000.
