On Tuesday afternoon (June 17), the emergency number received a report of an alleged explosive device placed under the Sejm building in Warsaw. The police quickly determined that the call had been made from Szczecin. The perpetrator turned out to be a 31-year-old man.
According to the Szczecin police, the perpetrator made a very dramatic phone call, informing that a bomb had been placed under the Sejm building in Warsaw. It was determined that the caller was in Szczecin.
- Police officers from the Intelligence Department of the City Police Headquarters in Szczecin immediately joined the operation. Thanks to their work, the place from which the call was made was quickly located, as well as the data of its owner - informs the City Police Headquarters in Szczecin.
At the sight of the police, the man started to run away.
- The trail led to a man wearing a helmet and tactical vest, who fled at the sight of the officers. The 31-year-old was detained and charged with initiating a false bomb threat - reports the Municipal Police Headquarters in Szczecin.
The 31-year-old was arrested in his apartment. The police quickly established his identity and address.
- The man was surprised by the presence of police officers and immediately admitted to making a false report about a planted explosive device - informs the Municipal Police Headquarters in Szczecin. - During the search of the apartment, the "Intelligence Officers" found and secured, among other things: a tactical vest with the inscription "Police", a telescopic baton, pepper sprays, masks and balaclavas. The man was charged with initiating a false alarm, for which he will explain himself in court.
