The health benefits of the Horyniec-Zdrój health resort have already been appreciated by many patients looking for an antidote to rheumatic, neurological or osteoporosis-related problems. This place is also eagerly visited by local tourists. Now it is to gain additional advantages in the form of a representative promenade.
The current Sanatoryjna Street is to be used to create an attractive promenade. The extensive plans were discussed during the April committee of the Horyniec commune council, where the concept of transforming it into a promenade was presented. This is to be the first step towards creating a modern, green public space, which is to become a link with the Spa Park and serve both residents, spa guests and tourists. In a word, Sanatoryjna is to be transformed into a space for walks, rest and integration. The conceptual design for these plans was developed by Geobud Kinga Artymiak-Kopeć & Krzysztof Kopeć. The idea they presented assumes: transforming Sanatoryjna Street into a promenade, excluding vehicular traffic, as well as introducing a two-colour surface with facilities for people with limited mobility. Everything is to be done while maintaining the existing greenery, which is to be supplemented with new plantings in the form of trees, shrubs and ornamental plants. In this designed space, there will be elements of small park architecture: benches, bins, bicycle racks, game tables (chess, checkers), shopping shelters and gazebos. In addition: fountains, monitoring, park lighting and modern technical infrastructure.
The prepared concept is the first step towards submitting an application within the framework of the affiliation of the Lubaczów municipal commune to the Lubaczów Urban Functional Area.
