Igor Bandrowicz - The Best Leader. Award at the Pearls of Local Government Congress 2025

In the latest Pearls of Local Government 2025 Ranking, organized by the editorial office of "Dziennik Gazeta Prawna", the Prusice Commune was once again included among the leading local governments in the country.

The mayor of Prusice, Igor Bandrowicz, took a high third place in the “Best Mayor” category among urban-rural communes, which is a significant distinction not only for him, but also for the entire local community.

The ceremonial presentation of awards took place during the Pearls of Local Government 2025 Congress, which took place in Toruń's Artus Court. On behalf of the Mayor, the awards were received by the Mayor's Representative Dorota Leń and the Vice-Chairwoman of the City Council Marzena Szustak. The commune leader emphasized that this success is the result of the commitment of many people - councilors, village heads, office workers and residents.

– We have been working together and effectively for years and we do not intend to stop there – said Igro Bandrowicz.

This is not the first time that the Prusice Commune has gained nationwide fame. Since 2013, it has regularly occupied top places in this prestigious ranking – both in the classification for the best mayor and the best managed local government. In 2024, the commune was in 3rd place in the category of "Best Local Government", and is currently celebrating another success, this time in the individual category.

The Pearl of Local Government ranking is considered one of the most reliable and comprehensive studies in the country when it comes to assessing the work of local government units. It is created on the basis of surveys completed by local governments and expert analyses. This year in cooperation with the Warsaw School of Economics. It takes into account both numerical data and answers to open questions.
