Isn’t 100k for the citizens’ budget too little?

The Radymno local government once again intends to entrust residents with responsibility for the city's development, i.e. to create an opportunity for various groups to decide how their surroundings change. The civic budget provides such a field for action. The next edition of the budget will decide on the division of the pool allocated for 2026.
The topic of the participatory budget came to light at the city council session on April 29th, thanks to a unanimously adopted resolution on conducting public consultations with residents on the planned expenditure from the city budget for next year under the BO for 2026. The resolution included, among other things, the principles and procedure for conducting such consultations. As part of the BO for 2025, the city's residents submitted interesting, creative proposals, and then put in a lot of work to promote them and convince the community to vote for their ideas. The project "Sporty Radymno. Modernization of school changing rooms in the sports hall in Radymno" won, although the competition was very fierce. What will happen this year? Time will tell. For now, it has been proposed to allocate exactly the same amount for the implementation of tasks under the participatory budget for 2026 as the year before, i.e. PLN 100,000, although some doubts arose in this matter at the last session whether it might not be too little. This issue was raised by councilor Sobejko.

Over the last few years, everything has become more expensive, and we still give residents PLN 100,000. The idea is to not have to piece together certain things due to limited finances or make changes to the budget. Maybe it would be worth considering adding PLN 20,000 or PLN 50,000 to this pool, which would allow for the implementation of a broader task? - he asked.
