Mysterious deaths of seniors in Warsaw. Prosecutor speaks out

- Intensive procedural activities are underway in connection with the discovery of a body in a block of flats on Wąwozowa Street on Tuesday. The case is developing, serious and concerns many acts of a criminal nature - the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw reported on Wednesday. The crime may be connected to two other, similar murders in the capital, which took place over the course of about a week.
In a block of flats on Wąwozowa Street in Ursynów, the body of a 73-year-old woman was discovered on Tuesday. The victim was allegedly strangled. Investigators are not revealing any more details at this time.
The spokesman for the Warsaw Police Headquarters, Junior Inspector Robert Szumiata, announced on Wednesday that "police activities are ongoing in connection with the occurrence of an act of a criminal nature."
"In the interests of these activities, at this stage we are not providing any further information," he added.

The first of the tragic discoveries was made a few days ago in an apartment on Franciszkańska Street in the Śródmieście district . An 80-year-old woman living there was strangled, and the perpetrator took jewelry, electronics and works of art from her apartment.
Another body was found on Sunday. "In an apartment in Warsaw's Ochota district, police discovered the body of an elderly woman. Yesterday, at around 11:00, the Emergency Notification Center received information about the death of an 89-year-old woman. The person who reported it was the deceased's daughter-in-law," the 10th KSP reported on Monday.

" A team of investigators was immediately sent to the indicated address. Police officers with the participation of a prosecutor and a forensic medicine expert performed all necessary procedural activities on site. The investigation is ongoing," she added.
Unofficial reports suggest that valuable paintings and jewelry also disappeared from the murdered woman's home.

"The date of the press conference , which is planned for late evening today (Wednesday - ed.) or afternoon tomorrow, will be announced today after 4:30 p.m. Until then, we will not provide any information due to the good of the investigation," the prosecutor's office announced on Wednesday on portal X.
Three elderly women are dead. All were strangled and robbed.The media link the described crimes to the third brutal murder that took place on the night from Monday to Tuesday at Wąwozowa Street in Ursynów. The body of a 73-year-old woman was found in an apartment on the second floor.
Secured evidence indicates that third parties contributed to her death . Like the two previous victims, the third one also died from strangulation.
This time, the perpetrator allegedly tried to leave through the window, jumping onto the terrace on the ground floor, but unofficially it is said that he was caught while escaping. According to the media, the man was taken to the Warsaw Police Headquarters, which in turn informs that "actions are ongoing".
