Paramedics trained in self-defense

Sub-Commander Maciej Szpunar and Junior Asp. Paweł Zalita conducted practical training, including learning basic self-defense techniques: freeing oneself from holds, repelling attacks, maintaining distance and safe withdrawal from a threatening situation.
Exercises imitating real stressful situations were intended to teach rescuers how to make quick decisions, stay calm, quickly assess risk and effectively isolate themselves from threats without exposing the patient or themselves to danger.
Each exercise was discussed on an ongoing basis, with valuable tips on posture, technique and communication.
