Residents don't want windmills. They have councilors on their side

The mayor of the commune, B. Szylar, thanked the councillors for their trust and support, expressing gratitude to the employees of the office, organisational units, and residents who contributed to the implementation of communal tasks and obtaining external funds.

In the next part of the session, changes to the budget for the current year were adopted. The key ones concerned the allocation of funds for the modernization and equipment of municipal community centers in Łazy, Nienowice, Zabłotce and Chotyniec. The councilors also adopted two geodetic resolutions. They agreed to an 8-year lease of real estate in Chotyniec for the purpose of conducting activities related to the location of telecommunications infrastructure devices. This will be another agreement with the current lessee of the land, which is to ensure the continuity of telecommunications services. They also designated for sale (through a tender) municipal plots in Sośnica, which are to be used for the construction of 10 single-family residential buildings.

At the end of the session, the council adopted a position expressing a firm opposition to the plans to locate, build and operate wind turbines in the Radymno commune. This step was taken with the well-being of residents and concern for their health and the natural environment in mind.
