Samir is the champion of the macroregion

The event, one of the most important in the sports calendar of the Polish Karate Association, was organized by the Lisiecki Kyokushinkai Karate Club led by sensei Ireneusz Maśnica. The championship was attended by 265 competitors, representing 24 clubs from southern Poland from the provinces of Małopolska, Świętokrzyskie and Podkarpackie. The main referee was shihan Andrzej Drewniak (9th dan), and the technical referee – shihan Edward Urbańczyk (5th dan). The competitions in kata and kumite for seniors, juniors, younger juniors, youngsters and cadets were held on three tatami with the participation of as many as 32 referees.

The Przemyśl Kyokushin Karate Club, led – as we have already mentioned – by shihan Ryszard Makara (5 dan) and sensei Jerzy Makara (4 dan), was represented by a total of 9 competitors, including three students of sensei Radosław Bakalus (1 dan) from the Przemyśl branch of the club – Karate Kyokushin Bircza. The following performed on the tatami in Kaszów: Amelia Siara, Aleksandra Sawicka, Milena Sawicka, Damian Pawłowski, Samir Azizow and Jakub Cisowski. The competitors of KK Bircza were: Gabriela Kozłowska, Jakub Grygier and Łukasz Bielański.

S. Azizow performed brilliantly, taking 1st place and winning the title of inter-provincial junior champion in the kumite semi-contact category for 12-13 years, over 60 kg. The Przemyśl-Bircza team also won three bronze medals. 3rd place was taken by G. Kozłowska in the kumite category for young girls 12-13 years, 40 kg, as were J. Cisowski in the kumite category for younger juniors 14-15 years, 75 kg, and J. Grygier in the kumite category for cadets 10-11 years, 30 kg.
