Several million losses. Councilor's complaint and predictable vote

A councilor filed a complaint against Mayor Marek Długozima. The reason? As a result of his actions, the commune lost millions. The case was considered by a committee in which the majority... is held by the mayor's councilors.

Councillor Krzysztof Śmiertka filed a complaint against the actions of Mayor Marek Długozima. In his opinion, it was due to his decisions and omissions that the commune lost millions in the lost case, which it had to pay to KOWR. The case was revealed and described by our newspaper. Let us recall that after the final court ruling, the commune had to return to KOWR not only PLN 4.5 million as payment for the plots received for free, but also cover approximately PLN 1.6 million in interest . And because the mayor did not want to voluntarily return this money, the case went to court, as a result of which the commune incurred an additional PLN 426 thousand in court costs.

And it was these decisions, among others, that prompted the councilor to file a complaint. Krzysztof Śmiertka believed that the commune could have avoided interest and court costs, i.e. paid over PLN 2 million less. He claims that he himself encouraged the mayor to resolve the problem amicably, especially since KOWR was willing to divide the amount into installments. However, the mayor did not agree to this.
