Poland found itself in the range of hot, tropical air from southern Europe, which flowed into our country thanks to the Bettina high . The effects are felt almost everywhere - on Wednesday, temperatures in many regions of Poland exceeded 30 degrees Celsius, and in places they were downright extreme.

For comparison, the coldest was in Hel , where "only" 23.5 degrees Celsius was recorded. However, the heat is not abating. Thursday is expected to be just as hot, with even 37 degrees Celsius forecast for some areas. IMGW maintains the second-degree heat warning for the entire country.
Due to extreme temperatures, the Polish embassy in one of the popular, hot tourist countries has issued a special message for travelers. It appeals to avoid going out in the sun at noon, to hydrate properly and to monitor the weather situation.
The latest forecasts leave no illusions. Summer 2025 in Poland is shaping up to be one of the hottest in recent years. July and August are expected to bring not only high temperatures during the day, but also so-called tropical nights , when the mercury will not drop below 20 degrees Celsius.
Forecasters warn that such weather conditions may result in numerous storms, local flooding and deepening hydrological drought . Cooler days will be rare, and heat waves may occur almost continuously.
August is expected to be particularly hot. Experts predict that the end of the month will bring the most intense and longest heatwaves of the season , as well as more rainfall than July. The weather phenomena will be extreme and may pose a challenge not only for people on vacation, but also for emergency services and energy systems.
