He will compose the music for Steven Spielberg's new film.

This is one of the most enduring collaborations in cinematic history. To date, John Williams has composed music for 29 of Steven Spielberg's films. Now, he will provide musical accompaniment for their 30th film together. It will be a mysterious project, about which only the subject of UFOs is known.
UFOs occupy a prominent place in Steven Spielberg's work. He explored them in his famous "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," but they also appeared in "ET" and "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Now he's preparing another major film, starring an unidentified flying object. The title is still unknown, but we've just learned the name of the composer who will compose the music for this production. Unsurprisingly, it will be John Williams.
The anticipated news was shared by Damian Woetzel, director of the prestigious Juilliard School. Earlier this week, he hosted an event dedicated to the music of John Williams: "John Williams - A Composer's Life: A Night of Stories and Music."
" John Williams is in Los Angeles right now, doing his thing. He's working with Steven Spielberg on his new film. And that's something to be happy about," Woetzel said, as quoted by journalist Doug Adams on the X platform.
Universal Studio, for which the aforementioned production is being made, has not confirmed this information.
John Williams, Spielberg's court composerJohn Williams, now 93, began collaborating with Steven Spielberg in 1974 on "Sugarland Express." He later composed the music for some of the director's most famous films, including "ET," "Jurassic Park," "Schindler's List," and "Saving Private Ryan." The untitled UFO film will be his 30th collaboration with Spielberg. Williams, however, has not yet been able to retire from filmmaking, as he had announced in 2022.
David Koepp wrote the script for Spielberg's new film. The main roles are played by Josh O'Connor, Emily Blunt, Colman Domingo, Colin Firth, and Eve Hewson.
