Want to smell like royalty? Here are the royals' favorite perfumes

Everything the king touches turns to gold. And literally! The British monarchy significantly stimulates the economy. And not only thanks to Charles III, who has been gaining fans over the years, but above all thanks to the young generation, who sets trends in many industries. Fans of the monarchy still remember Queen Elizabeth II, who was a great inspiration for many people. Members of the monarchy (currently King Charles III and the Prince of Wales) award the Royal Warrant - an official distinction to a company that regularly supplies goods or services to the royal court, which immediately become objects of desire not only in Great Britain but also around the world. One of them is perfumes used by the British aristocracy.

The scent of King Charles III's perfume

According to official sources, Creed's "Green Irish Tweed" is King Charles III's favorite scent. It is very fresh, but also sentimental. Thanks to the top notes of lemon and peppermint , it gains lightness, the base of sandalwood and amber - depth and timeless character, and the heart, based on violet , a note of nostalgia.

It is not without reason that the Creed brand is one of the king's favorites. The perfume company has enjoyed the recognition of the British monarchy for centuries. The Royal Warrant was granted to Creed by Queen Victoria herself, for whom the dedicated fragrance "Fleurs de Bulgarie" was created. For about 90 years, Creed was based in England. It was not until the 1850s that it was moved to Paris, thereby gaining worldwide fame.

Prince of Wales – William smells of “Blenheim Bouquet” by Penhaligon’s

Penhaligon’s is also one of the brands that can boast the distinction of Royal Warrant, which was granted to the brand by Queen Alexandra in 1903. In order to keep the certificate current, British members of the monarchy have to renew it. Thus, Penhaligon’s received the approval again from the Duke of Edinburgh in 1956, and also from the then Prince of Wales in 1988.

The scent itself is very fresh and light. All thanks to citrus notes, black pepper and pine, which are enclosed in a bottle resembling a gin bottle. So far, it has not been confirmed whether this is Prince William's favorite perfume or just one of many he uses, but people around him have repeatedly pointed to "Blenheim Bouquet" by Penhaligon's.

Queen Elizabeth II chose Floris

The Floris brand is one of the most beloved perfume brands of the British monarchy and was close to the heart of Queen Elizabeth II herself. It received its first Royal Warrant from King George IV in 1820. Today, Floris still supplies the royal court with not only fragrances but also beauty accessories.

The Queen's favorite scent was "White Rose" by Floris. A floral composition with notes of carnation, rose, violet, iris, jasmine, amber, musk and powdery accents. The scent was created in the 19th century by John Floris. The Queen used it not only every day, but also on her wedding day in 1947.

The Floris brand also created a unique fragrance that was not available for purchase for Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in 2018. Experts confirm that although this composition was not for sale, it was based on the scent "Bergamotto di Positano", which is available.

Princess of Wales Kate Middleton Chooses a Fragrance Wardrobe

According to experts, and the Duchess herself, her dressing table is dominated by several scents, which she uses depending on the occasion or mood. For her wedding, she chose "White Gardenia Petals" by Illuminum, based on white flowers with notes of gardenia, lily of the valley, jasmine and woody accents. In turn, during the ceremony itself at Westminster Abbey, candles were lit to fill the space with the scent of "Orange Blossom Cologne" by Jo Malone London, which has a Royal Warrant and is also one of the Duchess's favorites.

From the same brand, her collection also includes "Lime Basil & Mandarin", with citrus notes of mandarin and basil, with the addition of lavender, thyme and iris. Among the scents that she particularly likes is Dior "Dune" with notes of peony, jasmine, rose, amber, musk and vanilla.
