You definitely won't get any rest in this place in Italy. 12 thousand people every 3 hours

The island of Capri is the most crowded place in Italy, more than Venice or Florence. About 50 thousand people come there daily, reports the daily "Corriere della Sera". The newspaper noted that the island authorities are fighting against so-called overtourism.
According to the newspaper, what is happening on Capri at the beginning of the summer season can be described in one word: siege. In recent years, the number of tourists there has increased by 24 percent, reaching 3 million annually . Every three hours - it was noted - 12 thousand people arrive on the island in the Bay of Naples.
It has been calculated that 91 percent of tourists only come there for a few hours and their presence causes chaos and queues everywhere.

Capri has the highest tourist density in Italy, the daily reported. It is over 1,200 people per square kilometer , higher than in Rome, Florence or even Venice. The permissible threshold should be a maximum of one thousand people, and that is for a mainland, not an island with such a diverse structure.
The Great Siege of Capri- The situation has become unbearable and is becoming more dramatic with each passing year - warns the local daily.
As he notes, the number of tourists everywhere far exceeds the island's capacity, where it is no longer possible to walk normally due to the crowds. Fortunately, the newspaper adds, defibrillators have been installed on the routes where thousands of people climb in the crowds.
The mayor of Capri, Paolo Falco, has been trying for several years to curb the phenomenon of overtourism. He has also approached the minister responsible for this sector, Daniela Santanche , with no results so far.
He announced that he would also talk to the Minister of Interior, Matteo Piantedosi , because - as he explained - public safety is at stake.
