'She's Wrong': Donald Trump Rejects US Intelligence Chief's Claims on Iran

US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he was giving himself two weeks to decide whether to participate in the war on Israel's side . On Friday, Donald Trump was asked about the Israel-Iran conflict at the airport in Morristown, New Jersey. He expressed the view that it would be difficult for him to ask Israel to stop airstrikes on Iran. "I think it's very difficult to make such a request to someone who is winning," he said. "It's a little more difficult than when someone is losing. But we are ready and we can. We talked to Iran, we'll see what happens," he added.

Trump later reiterated that Israel is doing well in war, and in a situation like this, “it’s very hard to stop.” “I think you could say Iran is doing less well,” he said.

On Friday, talks were held in Geneva, attended by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi and the foreign ministers of France, Britain and Germany, as well as EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas. According to Reuters, the talks did not result in a breakthrough.

Trump dismissed the efforts of European diplomats. "They didn't help," he said. "Iran doesn't want to talk to Europe. It wants to talk to us. Europe won't be able to help in this matter," he claimed.

The US president was also asked about the findings of US intelligence on the Iranian issue, according to which Iran is not close to developing a nuclear weapon.
