Jerzy Janowicz revealed in an interview with TVP Sport that he is not drawn to tennis, but he likes to play padel. He said that he burned his tennis rackets in the stove, and that he does not work late because he watches live sports competitions, but because he recently became a father again. The Pole believes that Hubert Hurkacz lacks aggression on the court.
"Hubert is not a 'whipping boy'. It seems to me that, to put it briefly, a little more aggression is needed. A little more manly play is needed so that he does not retreat so far to the back line," Janowicz noted in an interview with TVP Sport.
"I know he feels very comfortable in defense, in counterattack play, but someone has to eventually go to him, grab him by the neck and force him to play aggressively," added the 34-year-old, who feels like crying when he sees the current world's top. He emphasizes that this is not the "top" we have been used to for decades. Previously, the level, in his opinion, was more demanding.
