Gothic Remake Demo Is Here. Fantastic News for Polish Fans
The premiere of the Gothic Remake demo was to be closely tied to Steam Next Fest 2025, a "celebration of upcoming games", which began at 7:00 PM on February 24. However, the publisher THQ Nordic responsible for the game decided to surprise fans and the production was released online a few hours earlier.

Poles Will Be DelightedIn the demo version of Gothic Remake, we take on the role of Nyras and play the times before the appearance of the main character, the Nameless One, in the game. Completing the entire demo should not take longer than an hour. During the test gameplay, we receive a limited section of the map focusing primarily on the exchange square and the area next to the abandoned mine. The producers took care of the comfort of Polish players and during the game we can listen to the full Polish dubbing.
"This prologue, set before the arrival of the Nameless Hero and the beginning of Gothic 1's original story, lets you visit legendary locations rebuilt from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5. Explore the meticulously recreated Valley of Mines like never before," the demo's producers write in its description on Steam.
The community also has the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the system requirements that the Gothic Remake Demo creates before itself. A graphics card with a minimum specification of RX 6700 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 is required for smooth gameplay. Players have only a week to test the game, because on February 3 at 7:00 PM the demo version will disappear from all platforms.
