Unexpected problems for our team leader before the world championship
Just before the World Championships in Trondheim, Paweł Wąsek was a guest on the "Misja Sport" program. The leader of our team was the only one from the team called up for the target event of the season to start in the competition in Sapporo.
— In Japan, I actually got a bit tired. We're definitely not used to such trips, because they only happen once a year. So it's something new for us, and we may not always be able to handle it 100 percent. I like Japan, but it definitely wore me out. After we got back, we had a free weekend without any starts, so there was enough time to recover, rest and regenerate for the next competition — he admitted.
Paweł Wąsek caught a coldUnfortunately, on the final stretch before the championships, Wąsek has some minor health problems. - Unfortunately, I caught a cold, which I have been fighting since Friday, but I hope it will be to my advantage. Now I am spending my fourth day at home, so I am actually regenerating well. I hope that before leaving for Norway I will manage to do a proper workout in the gym, so that I wake up and actually go to these world championships rested and well prepared - he said.
— I returned from Japan on Tuesday morning and joined the rest of the team for a training camp on Wednesday. I managed to calmly jump in Wisła and Szczyrk and adjust my equipment. I think that's where I caught this cold, but fortunately it's nothing serious. I feel good in general, maybe a little weak. I didn't have a fever, the only problem is my throat, which is very sore and bothers me. However, I am absolutely convinced that it won't hinder me in any way and won't affect the championship — he added.
