In the first phase of the competition in the Women's Volleyball Nations League, 18 teams are competing. The final tournament with eight teams will be played on July 23-27 in Łódź. The Polish women, as hosts of the final event, have a guaranteed place in the quarterfinals.

The first two matches went very well for the White and Reds. First, Stefano Lavarini's team won against Thailand 3:0, and then defeated the excellently prepared Chinese team in four sets. The Turkish team also has two victories under its belt - against France (3:1) and Thailand (3:0).
The Women's Volleyball Nations League was first organized in 2018, replacing the World Grand Prix held in 1993–2017. Previous editions have been won by the USA (2018, 2019, 2021), Italy (2022, 2024) and Turkey (2023). The Polish women's best performances were in the two previous years (2023, 2024), in which they won bronze medals.
