He's 95, but he's not slowing down. He's planning to direct another film

Clint Eastwood assures that he is not retiring "for a long time". This icon of cinema, who turned 95 on May 31, admits that he is already working on his next project. This means that speculation that the last film in Eastwood's directing career will be last year's film, Juror No. 2, is not a fairy tale.
The star of "Escape from Alcatraz" and "Unforgiven", Clint Eastwood, gave an interview to the Austrian newspaper "Kurier". He admitted that he feels good and has no reason to retire. His rich directing career will continue with a film that is currently in pre-production.
"There's no reason why you can't get better with age. I'm much more experienced now. Of course, there are directors who lose their edge with age, but I'm not one of them, " Eastwood said without a doubt.
His previous film hit the screens in 2024. It was "Jury 2" with the main role of Nicholas Hoult.
Clint Eastwood on the new era of cinemaIn the same interview, Eastwood admits that he is not a fan of the remakes, sequels and comic book movies that dominate cinemas.
"I miss the good old days when screenwriters wrote movies like Casablanca in small buildings on the studio lot. When everyone had new ideas. Now we live in the age of remakes and franchises. I've made three sequels in my career, but I haven't been interested in them for a long time. My philosophy is: 'Do something new or stay home,'" the star explains.
The actor-director admits that he was shaped by the old studio system, which required artists to constantly improve their craft and be on the lookout for the next great idea for a film. He believes that this is why he can work even at such an advanced age and still learn something new.
