IKEA announces collaboration with Swedish design stars. Colourful collection to be released later this year

IKEA surprises once again by announcing a unique collaboration with two of Sweden's most intriguing designers, Gustaf Westman and Evelina Kroon. The new collection is a fresh take on celebration: emotional, multi-generational, with a designer touch.

The Swedish brand IKEA , known for its democratic approach to design, is once again meeting the expectations of modern consumers. During the prestigious Democratic Design Days event in Älmhult , the heart of the brand's creative initiatives, IKEA announced a collaboration with two renowned Swedish designers - Gustaf Westman and Evelina Kroon . The result will be a unique collection , which hides the theme of reinterpreting celebration.

The aim of the collaboration is not only to create a collection – it is an attempt to redefine the very concept of celebration in the context of modern social relations, lifestyles and emotional needs. IKEA , Westman and Kroon attempt to show that celebration does not need an occasion . Joy can be everyday and community – spontaneous.

The new IKEA collection will be divided into three unique celebration moods , creating emotional landscapes tailored to the lifestyle of modern users.

The first strand of the collection is rooted in tradition, inspired by IKEA's rich archive of community life and Swedish rituals.

Known for his distinctive, organic forms and vibrant colors , Gustaf Westman brings a young generation aesthetic to the project that isn’t afraid to break convention. Evelina Kroon , known for her expressive work with pattern, structure and colour, immerses herself in personal nostalgia. Her aesthetic evokes the warmth of family gatherings, but filtered through artistic sensibility and a love of scale and contrast.
