Elizabete Cardoso, 45, is the new administrator of Benfica's SAD, replacing Jaime Antunes, who resigned from his position at the end of January . With a PhD in business administration from the University of Bath (where she has been since 2001 and is part of the health department), in the United Kingdom, she is a specialist in sports marketing and is also an assistant professor at Nova SBE.

Benfica statement:

"Sport Lisboa e Benfica – Futebol, SAD ("Benfica SAD") informs, under the terms and for the purposes of the provisions of article 6, no. 1, al. (a) of CMVM Regulation no. 1/2023 and other applicable legal and regulatory provisions, that Elizabete Margarida Figueiredo Cardoso was today co-opted to join the Board of Directors of Benfica SAD.

This co-optation follows the termination of Jaime Rodrigues Antunes' duties, due to resignation.
