Look at the underdog! Maringá surprises and eliminates Juventude in the first phase of the Copa do Brasil

Juventude , semi-finalist of the Campeonato Gaúcho and playing in the Série A of national football, has been eliminated from the Copa do Brasil. On Tuesday night (25), Jaconero was surprised by Maringá when they lost 1-0 in a single game that counts for the first phase of the tournament. But it was Maringá who posed a threat with a header from Matheus Moraes and a low shot from Negueba. In the latter, the ball hit the outside of the net. For Juventude, defender Adriano Martins headed the ball very close to the post after Jean Carlos put it into the area with a free kick, at 23'. Jorge Castilho, Maringá's coach, made substitutions, and Vitinho, the last to come on, stood out in a great play that resulted in a dangerous free kick in front of the area. The experienced Nenê only came on at 37' and practically only appeared in Juventude's set pieces, without any danger. In the final stretch of injury time, Adriano Martins forced Tito to save on the line.
