Oasis dedicates song to Liverpool striker Diogo Jota who died in accident

During the first show of Oasis' reunion tour, held in Cardiff this Friday, 4th, brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher paid tribute to Portuguese player Diogo Jota, who died in a traffic accident in Spain on Thursday, 3rd.
The band dedicated the song Live Forever to the footballer, showing a photo of Diogo on the big screen. It was the first time the Gallagher brothers had been on stage together after more than 15 years since Oasis split.
Diogo was 28 years old and a striker for Liverpool, England, and the Portuguese national team. He was accompanied by his brother, the player André Silva, 25, who also died. The incident occurred at 00:30 local time, on a highway near the city of Zamora, when the vehicle left the road and caught fire.
On social media, Oasis fans applauded the move. Liam and Noel are fans of Manchester City, the brothers' hometown club. The band's songs have even been adopted as fan anthems. Last year, City released a shirt in honor of the band, recreating the cover of the album Definitely Maybe for the ad.
