PS criticizes measures outside the electoral program

The PS criticized the AD for including measures in the Government Program that were not part of the electoral program, with the party president and interim secretary general accusing Luís Montenegro of moving “further to the right” and adding measures to the Government Program that were not part of the electoral program, “to seduce the IL and Chega”.

One day after the document was delivered to Parliament, Carlos César signaled that there are measures in the Government Program that were omitted from the electoral program of the social democrats and centrists, having pointed out “negative” measures, which will deserve the opposition of the socialists.
At stake are changes to the strike law and labor laws, which the Executive wants to change in the context of the Social Concertation with the aim of alleviating the “rigidity” in labor law to promote competitiveness and not be an obstacle to foreign investment.
The new government leaves open the possibility of workers buying vacation days, differentiated regulation of teleworking and work on digital platforms, the flexibility of time banks, and changes in minimum services in the event of a strike.
