Uber launches program aimed at young university students

Uber announced this Tuesday the launch of Uber One for Students in Portugal. This is a new version of its subscription program aimed at young university students, offering a more affordable subscription price.
In a statement, the company states that this new option allows students to save around 10% on the cost of each trip, in Uber One credits, whether for a TVDE, scooter, or electric bike, as well as free delivery fees and up to 75% off service fees on Uber Eats.
In this sense, membership to the service will be at “an affordable price of 29.99 euros per year (or 2.99 euros per month, after four free weeks for new members), guaranteeing them convenience when traveling, at any time of the day or night”.
"We want to be by students' side during times of great change and challenge. Uber One for Students was created to give them more freedom, savings, time, and security, so they can focus on what really matters: studying and fully enjoying the university experience," said Francisco Meneses, General Manager of Uber Eats in Portugal, quoted in the statement.
