Barbara Tinoco, Ivandro, Pedro Abrunhosa and Os Quatro e Meia will be performing in Lagos this year

After the 12th Festival of Discoveries at the beginning of May, Lagos City Council is lifting the veil on the artists who will be present at the next anchor events this year: Maninho, Os Quatro e Meia, Bárbara Tinoco, Ivandro and Sara Correia at the 36th Arte Doce Competition Fair; Rebeca at the Festa do Banho 29; and Pedro Abrunhosa at the New Year's Eve Party 2025-2026.
Now in its 36th edition, the Arte Doce Competition Fair will take place from 23 to 27 July at the Lagos Sports Complex, continuing to combine respect for gastronomic heritage with the entertainment that summer nights demand.
The concept remains the same, with sweets, crafts, taverns, showcookings and the presence of local artists, from the invited region and the headliners of 2025: Maninho (23/07), Os Quatro e Meia (24/07), Bárbara Tinoco (25/07), Ivandro (26/07) and Sara Correia (27/07).
The tradition of the most purifying bath of the year is alive and well and is the reason for a great celebration in the municipality. The Festa do Banho 29 (August 29) will take place simultaneously in the city of Lagos (Cais da Solaria/Jardim da Constituição), with Rebeca as the main attraction, who will get everyone dancing, and in Praia da Luz, with musical entertainment taking place on three stages (programme to be announced).
The farewells to 2025 will be to the sound of Pedro Abrunhosa, a renowned Portuguese artist who will make this night even more special before the magnificent midnight fireworks display.
Throughout 2025, Lagos also highlights the holding of the Popular Marches (19 to 21 June), Lagos Book Fair (2 to 12 August), FETAAL – Algarve Traditions and Arts Fair (August), Noites no Cais (September), Walk & Art Fest (November), Pedra Dura Festival (November), Christmas Animation (December), among other cultural initiatives held throughout the year.
