Calema concert affects traffic and parking between Thursday and Sunday

Road traffic and parking will be restricted between Thursday and Sunday near Estádio da Luz, in Lisbon, due to the Calema concert, which will take place next Saturday, the PSP reported today.
In a statement, the Lisbon Metropolitan Command (Cometlis) of the PSP explains that due to this concert, there will be traffic restrictions on several roads, as well as restrictions on parking.
Regarding parking, the PSP indicates that it will be necessary to secure reservations on Avenida Machado Santos (from 8:00 pm on Thursday until 4:00 pm on Sunday), at Impasse à Rua João de Freitas Branco (from 4:00 pm on Friday and 00:00 on Saturday) and at Praça Cosme Damião/Parque da EMEL (from 8:00 pm on Thursday until 4:00 pm on Sunday).
The PSP also states that the Calema concert will also require the “implementation, in a sequential manner, of several traffic restrictions”.
The restrictions will take place on Machado Santos Avenue and the adjacent streets, on Eusébio da Silva Ferreira Avenue, on the Impasse at João de Freitas Branco Street, on Cosme Damião Square and on Military College Avenue.
On Avenida Machado Santos, the restrictions will occur between 08:00 on Friday until 02:00 on Sunday, while on the converging streets there will be traffic closures from 12:00 on Saturday until 02:00 on Sunday.
On Avenida Eusébio da Silva Ferreira (access to Parque -3 and Avenida do Colégio Militar) there will be “severe restrictions from 12:00 on Saturday, and traffic may be closed before the end of the concert until 02:00” on Sunday.

In Praça Cosme Damião (EMEL Parking Lot) there will also be “severe restrictions from 12:00, and traffic may be closed before the end of the concert until 02:00” on Sunday.
In turn, on Avenida do Colégio Militar (between Rua Galileu Galilei and Avenida Condes de Carnide) traffic will be closed before the end of the concert until the audience has completely left.
The circulation of public transport “will also be severely restricted”.
In this sense, the PSP advises the use of public transport, avoiding taking vehicles to the vicinity of Estádio da Luz and making sure that the journey can be made in advance.
“If using your own vehicles, follow the instructions of the Police and park in supervised parking spaces designated for this purpose”, the PSP also indicates.
The official opening time for the doors to the public is scheduled for 5:00 pm on Saturday, June 7th.
