Creative agents are already promoting their work at the 14th Algarve Design Meeting in Faro

The Algarve Design Meeting , an event that aims to project design, in its most varied aspects and applications, as a tool for change, transformation and social development, takes place in Faro until next Saturday, May 24th.
The program for the 14th edition of the event, which takes place at Fábrica da Cerveja, includes: exhibitions, talks , cinema, workshops, installations, pop-up stores and the International Videomapping Festival.
In some commercial establishments in downtown Faro, it is still possible to see the shop windows that were the subject of intervention by design students, as part of the Montra Project.
In this way, the Algarve Design Meeting aims to position itself as a great amplifier of visibility for creative agents, showing inspiring and responsible examples and practices, capable of promoting different types of projects in the different areas of design.
This is an opportunity to get to know first-hand the work and trajectory of several professionals, companies and academia, who are shaping the present and future of design.
The Algarve Design Meeting has been organized since 2011 by the Escola Superior de Educação e Comunicação ( ESEC ) of the University of Algarve ( UAlg ) and the National Association of Designers , promoting national and international design, and enhancing the connection between designers, companies, academia, industry and society.
This is an ongoing work, which has become a reference in the dissemination and promotion of design, ESEC, UAlg and the city of Faro.
Furthermore, its mission is to establish the southern region of the country on the map of major international events in the area of creative industries.
In 2024, the Algarve Design Meeting was one of the projects supported by the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission ( CCDR ), under the Support Program for Non-Professional Cultural Initiatives.
