Farroupilha Tourism in Galpão will be launched on Tuesday

The Galpão Farroupilha Tourism project, coordinated by the municipal secretariats of Culture (SMC) and Economic Development, Tourism and Events (SMDETE) with the participation of the Municipal Department of Education, will be launched this Tuesday (12). The event will take place at Piquete Estância da Harmonia, starting at 11 am.
The goal is to promote and value traditionalism through workshops, guided tours, and other activities that provide a true immersion in gaucho culture for both tourists and locals. "The camp attracts around two million people every year, and our intention is to also establish the event as a tourist attraction, contributing to the city's culture and economy," says Fernanda Barth, Secretary of the State Department of Transportation (SMDETE).
The same event will also launch the Ciranda Escolar (School Circle), an initiative that takes students from public schools in Porto Alegre to Acampamento Farroupilha to experience aspects of our tradition up close. "This project is an excellent way to promote tourism and authentic gaucho culture. Experiencing the work of the fields at Acampamento Farroupilha is an unforgettable experience for children," adds Liliana Cardoso, Municipal Secretary of Culture.
The Farroupilha Tourism of Galpão and the School Ciranda take place concurrently with the Farroupilha Camp, between the 1st and 21st of September.
