Government reinforces commitment to combating human trafficking

The Government reaffirmed this Friday its commitment to strengthening policies to prevent and suppress human trafficking, as well as to protect and support victims, highlighting the prevention and combat plan until 2027 as strategic.
The Government met at the beginning of this month the Technical Monitoring Committee of the 5th Action Plan to Prevent and Combat Trafficking in Human Beings (2025-2027), with the aim of advancing the work of monitoring the implementation status of the 111 actions that make up the plan, it informs in a statement on the occasion of the celebration, on Saturday, of the European Day to Combat Trafficking in Human Beings.
The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports also highlights the high level of implementation of the planned training actions, which involved more than 300 security forces officers, and the training on child trafficking aimed at professionals from the National Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Children and Young People (CNPDCJD).
The progress made in creating multi-force teams and strengthening inspections in high-risk locations is also highlighted in the document.
The executive calls for the mobilization of public institutions, the private sector, civil society, and citizens to jointly promote a culture of respect for human dignity.
