Italian film festival in Rio dedicates session to Nanni Moretti

The Panorama II Cinema Rio exhibition will dedicate its June 11 session to one of the most emblematic names in contemporary Roman cinema, Nanni Moretti. With "l Sol dell'Avvenire", the filmmaker offers the public a work that speaks of cinema, politics and love, but without ceasing to be harsh, tender and funny.
With a free screening at the Italian Institute of Culture in Rio de Janeiro (IIC/RJ) at 6:30 pm, the feature film presents a director involved in an ambitious and personal project - a film within the film - "which becomes an opportunity to narrate an Italy that was and perhaps will no longer be".
"But as always happens with Moretti, there is much more: the disenchantment of a generation, the nostalgia for an emotional engagement and humor as a lifeline", says a note from IIC/RJ, which informs that to participate in the event it is necessary to register online (iicrio.esteri.it).
