Parque do Lago do Luso welcomes Meajazz with a focus on the region's wines and sparkling wines

This year, Meajazz – Jazz, Blues & Wine Fest , which takes place at Parque do Lago do Luso on the 11th and 12th of July , presents an eclectic lineup with a strong artistic identity.
The event, now in its eighth edition, includes free concerts by some of the most important names in jazz, blues and soul, both nationally and internationally.
The “Wine Fest” concept joins music with the partnership with Rota da Bairrada to promote a space dedicated to the region’s sparkling wines, promoting local producers.
“Meajazz has already become one of the most important festivals on a national level and we try, every year, to have artists with diverse influences, some established and others emerging, always with a high level of performance, in order to please the most demanding, but at the same time surprise and captivate new audiences”, pointed out Filomena Pinheiro, vice-president of the Mealhada Council.
Filomena Pinheiro also highlighted: “This year we have this novelty of associating endogenous wine products, with the partnership of Rota da Bairrada, enriching the event and highlighting the wines and sparkling wines of our region” .

At 9:30 pm , Twanguero , a Spanish guitarist who has gained global recognition with his unique “Latin Twang” style, takes to the stage.
Known for combining flamenco, tango, jazz, country and bolero with an electric guitar with rock'n'roll heritage, Twanguero presents his album “Panamerica”.
This will be followed by a new performance by DJ Rui Rosa before the arrival on stage at 10:45 pm of Kiko & The Blues Refugees , a Portuguese band led by Kiko Pereira and made up of musicians such as António Mão de Ferro, Jorge Filipe Santos, Carl Minnemann and João Cunha.
DJ Rui Rosa returns to perform, closing the night of the event.

The start will be given by DJ Rui Rosa, at 9:00 pm , and at 9:30 pm, the highlight will be Trevor Babajack Steger , British musician awarded the title of 'Best Acoustic Artist at the British Blues Awards 2023'.
Jéssica Pina 's performance is scheduled for 10:45 p.m. "The Portuguese trumpeter and singer has had a remarkable career both at home and abroad — after joining Madonna's world tour, she was invited by names such as Mikky Blanco and Brooklyn Funk Essentials, having performed on renowned stages such as COOLJAZZ, Sol da Caparica and Joy of Jazz, in South Africa," the note states.
The music continues with the last performance by DJ Rui Rosa.
