Vagos hosted the 21st Intermunicipal Reading Competition

The Intermunicipal Reading Competition (CIL) took place in the auditorium of the Vagos Education and Recreation Center, on the 17th, with the participation of students from the 11 municipalities of the Intermunicipal Community of the Aveiro Region (CIRA). The initiative, organized by the CIRA Library Network, takes place on a rotating basis in the various municipalities, and aims to promote the appreciation of books and reading, a cultural aspect considered “essential” to promote and produce diversity of thoughts and creativity. In a well-filled audience, the young people were invited to show all their talents before a jury composed of singer and composer Luís Sobral, writer Maria Alice Sarabando and writer João Tordo. Two students from the municipality of Vagos were awarded 2nd and 3rd prizes.
The competition featured musical performances by Luísa Sobral and the Vaguense Philharmonic Music School.
