Ventura: Healing a Mentally Ill Society

André Ventura is healing a mentally ill society , the worst Portuguese legacy of the last half century. Freud explains, the charlatan Marx and the misfortune of being left-wing are on their way to insignificance and those who feel truly Portuguese – finally! – are fighting for themselves like never before.
Let's start from the beginning. Being left-wing means dispensing with the use of human morality and reason and yet being venerated by the cuddly right. Olavo de Carvalho, a philosopher who causes hives, portrayed both:
“If you want to be believed without the slightest objection, talk about things you know nothing about to someone who knows nothing about them. It is infallible. In the total absence of objective reference, foolish unanimity is a plank for shipwrecked people.” [Olavo de Carvalho (2013), The minimum you need to know to not be an idiot , Editora Record, Rio de Janeiro/São Paulo, p.366]
1 Anyone can diagnose a mentally ill societyPopularizing Sigmund Freud's thinking to help us understand why we are human makes everything easier. He is one of the greatest intellectual geniuses of all time, the exact opposite of the father and creator of the left and the greatest intellectual charlatan of all time, the inhumane Karl Marx.
The first, Freud, theorized the unconscious like no one else, which never allows any thinking subject to give in to the principle that responsibility for destiny resides within each individual or collective subject, in their consciousness. This is the precondition without which there is no mental health and prosperity in the human species from the most remote origins and in the future. Freud is timeless.
The second, Marx, is the greatest intellectual murderer of human consciousness ever, the mental father of amoral or immoral people. He theorized and indoctrinated, with global success, the social superiority of those who place responsibility for their destiny outside of themselves. With this, they gain the right that they consider inalienable to demand from others what they never demand from themselves, such as caring for and educating their family, working, studying, not being a criminal. All they need to do is use a list of excuses: being poor, black, a minority, an immigrant, having been colonized, among other excuses.
This is the golden rule of emotional, social, economic parasites and all sorts of toxic people, and nothing better defines what it means to be left-wing. The inevitable consequence is to make any society increasingly fragmented, corrupt, conflict-ridden, violent, impoverished and failed. Here lies the heart of what is a sick society , strictly speaking a mentally sick society .
2 The civic duty to participate in the cure of collective mental illnessKnowing Freud allows any citizen to put a serious brake on the growing cycle of social dementia, such as the one we are experiencing today. Restoring collective sanity requires reestablishing the moral order (or social morality ), which is intrinsically dependent on identification with a (re)founding father. There is no other way to restore order to the mental chaos of societies. The subject is masterfully explained by Freud in Totem and Taboo (1912-1913).
Anyone can see why philosophy without Socrates (the ancient Greek), religions without their founding prophet (Buddha, Christ, among others), Portuguese people without Afonso Henriques, psychoanalysis without Freud, anthropology without Claude Lévi-Strauss, the left without Marx, among countless examples, are inconceivable. The phenomenon is cyclical.
The reason is simple: human beings identify with existential causes embodied in a singular person like each one of them (with spirit, flesh and name), but distinguished by their charisma or human magnetism, a singularity that includes the mental and physical capacity to resist the hardships of the moment of foundation until generating social descendants. Fate would have it that the umbilical dependence on the founding father became merciless and obvious in political parties and movements, since they cannot survive without permanent popular mobilization.
3 Álvaro Cunhal, Mário Soares and Sá Carneiro are in the past. André Ventura has become the sole owner of the futureIn Portugal, what would become of the PCP without Álvaro Cunhal, the PS without Mário Soares or the PPD/PSD without Francisco Sá Carneiro? What would become of Chega without André Ventura? All founding fathers in exact Freudian terms, but reality imposes a profound difference. The PCP, PS and PSD fragmented Portuguese society among themselves in their previous (re)founding cycle, which began in 1974, and today they are dragging themselves towards the inevitable end of a cycle, they only have the past. The future no longer belongs to them because André Ventura managed to break with them to project himself alone in the opposite direction, towards the future.
Chega's founding father is perfectly fulfilling his role in the new cycle of existential refoundation of Portuguese society. The reinvention of the moral order that he imposes spreads every day, because no people can survive mentally without it. Freud explains it, but there is one very interesting detail left out. The political parties that benefited most from the inevitable personification of power in a single charismatic leader in the previous (re)founding cycle of 1974 (PCP, PS and PPD/PSD), together with a myriad of smaller political parties (CDS-PP, BE, among others), are those that today treat André Ventura as a populist (for bringing people together) and Chega as a one-man party (for having a founding father in the Freudian sense).
In addition to the ridiculous ignorance and lack of reflection of the parties' own initial history, which is still the same, this attitude reveals their desperation in knowing that their time has passed and that what is coming is much more powerful than they ever achieved. This is because, unlike 1974, when there were at least three charismatic leaders (Álvaro Cunhal, Mário Soares and Sá Carneiro), in the current cycle (2019-2025...) there is only one, with no competition whatsoever. The renewal of Portuguese society ended up being the exclusive responsibility of André Ventura.
Of the new generation of political parties, the only one that could have cast a shadow would be the Liberal Initiative (IL). However, its premature death was foretold at birth. Freud also explains this. Five leaders in the first eight years reveal the complete absence of a unique and irreplaceable founding father: Miguel Ferreira da Silva (2017-2018), Carlos Guimarães Pinto (2018-2019), João Cotrim de Figueiredo (2019-2023), Rui Rocha (2023-2025). Apparently, Mariana Leitão (2025…) will follow. Add to this the mixture of opposites that cancel each other out, the defense of the market ideal (right) and submission to wokism (left).
IL is condemned to irrelevance and, besides this party, the other charismatic leaders that emerge will arrive late, Portuguese society will have already overcome mental chaos and entered a new historical cycle.
These days, without revolutions in the Soviet style of 1974, the most solid democracy ever is being born in Portugal, in an absolutely peaceful way, supported by a renewed dignified and viable moral order, a renewed functional rational order, and a genuinely Portuguese existential sense that will guarantee collective prosperity like never before. The Portuguese have already realized that André Ventura represents all of this like no one else. Freud explains in crystal clear terms what is happening. All those who are clear of the disease of Marxism have already realized it or will soon realize it.
