Conversation with the Author debuts series of interviews recorded at Flip

During the month of September, the program Conversa com o Autor , from Rádio MEC , broadcasts a special series of interviews recorded during the 2025 Paraty International Literary Festival. The stories have stayed with Lilia, who has two daughters, lives in Tiradentes, São Paulo, and works as a nursing assistant for the Unified Health System (SUS).
The Conversa com o Autor interviewee began her writing career in 2014 with the book Amor Avenida . She then went on to publish other books: Perifobia , Rua do larguinho , Crônicas para colorar a cidade, and Novelas que escritor para o rádio Vol. 1, 2, and 3.
Hosted by Katy Navarro and produced by Rafael Tavares, the program Conversa com o Autor (Conversation with the Author) aims to promote Brazilian literature and encourage reading. This weekly program on Rádio MEC hosts writers for interviews about their publications and various topics related to the world of books.
It's nearly 30 minutes of relaxed, content-packed conversation, in which Brazilian authors feel free to discuss their work. The conversations cover new releases, titles, curiosities, the creative process, book suggestions, readings, and the diverse literary narratives of Brazilian authors.
Launched just over a decade ago, in 2013, the production has all episodes of the new season available in videocast format on Rádio MEC 's YouTube channel.
