Fed holds interest rates again after Trump insults

The US Federal Reserve (Fed) announced today that it is leaving interest rates unchanged for the fourth time this year, at a time of uncertainty about the impact of tariffs and with criticism from Trump of the central bank leader.
The US central bank's reference rates thus remain in the range of 4.25%-4.5%, as already anticipated by markets and analysts.
It was the fourth time the Fed met since Donald Trump's return to the White House, and has since been under attack from the Head of State, who today said that the central bank president is “stupid” and “politicized”, just hours before this decision.
