Globoplay with a new look: find out everything about the platform's new soap opera catalog

Globo officially announced the launch of the Globoplay Novelas channel, with its debut scheduled for Monday (09), at 8 pm. The new channel arrives to take the place of the old Viva channel, which was focused on soap opera reruns.

The new proposal maintains the focus on television drama, but expands the scope with original and international titles, being available on the same operators as Viva and on Globoplay's Premium plan.

Initial programming and national highlights

The inaugural schedule includes soap operas from different decades, with titles such as "Roque Santeiro" , "Quatro por Quatro" , "Plumas & Paetês" , "Caras & Bocas" and "Celebridade" , which will remain on the new channel. The soap opera "Além do Tempo" , originally aired in 2015, will be shown again on television for the first time.

The production, written by Elizabeth Jhin , is divided into two phases and will be shown from Monday to Saturday at 8:05 pm , with reruns at 3:45 am and 3:25 pm , as well as marathons on Sundays starting at 11 am (Brasília time) .

Another national highlight is the premiere of the new "Guerreiros do Sol" , Globoplay's first original soap opera. The production will air on June 11 , from Monday to Friday at 10:40 pm , with reruns at 6:10 am and 4:15 pm , as well as a Sunday marathon at 9:30 pm . The story portrays the universe of cangaço, with Isadora Cruz and Thomás Aquino playing the country singers Rosa and Josué .

Interactivity with the public

One of the new features is the interactive voting , where the public can choose which soap opera will be shown between two options with the same main theme. In the first competition are "Laços de Família" and "Por Amor" , both written by Manoel Carlos . The production with the most votes will be shown from Monday to Saturday at 11:15 am , with a rerun at 7:20 pm (Brasília time) .

International hits in the programming

The channel is also betting on foreign works. The Mexican soap opera "O Amor Invencível" , an adaptation of the Portuguese "Mar Salgado", will be shown at 8:55 pm , with reruns at 2:05 am , 4:30 am and 10:25 am . The Turkish production "Hercai: Amor e Vingança" , inspired by "Romeo and Juliet", will be shown at 9:45 pm , with reruns at 5:20 am , 9:35 am and 5:05 pm .

Fixed titles and schedules

The fixed schedule includes, in addition to the titles mentioned, well-distributed times with multiple reruns and marathons on weekends. For example, "Quatro por Quatro" will be shown at 12:00 p.m. , with reruns at 6:30 p.m. and 2:55 a.m. "Plumas & Paetês" will air at 1:50 p.m. , with reruns at 1:20 a.m. and 8:50 a.m. "Caras & Bocas" will be broadcast at 2:35 p.m. , with reruns at 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 a.m.

Finally, "Celebridade" occupies the 11:30 pm slot, with a rerun at 7 am and a Sunday marathon starting at 3:30 pm .
