PSP recovers Women's Champions League Cup

The original Women's Champions League trophy was stolen in Alvalade during the celebrations for the second championship on Sunday, and has since been recovered by the PSP after a complaint was filed on Sunday morning. In total, 13 suspects have already been identified, a number that is expected to increase.
According to the PSP, the theft took place “in the garages of the José Alvalade Stadium during the game of the last round of the Liga Portugal, between Sporting CP and Vitória SC”, with “UEFA material relating to the final of the Women's Champions League that will take place next Saturday, May 24th, at the same stadium” being taken.
The police explained that this material was taken following a “breakdown of a fence by hooded individuals”, and that “various UEFA materials were stolen, including the original Champions League trophy”.
In addition to the cup, the PSP recovered more stolen material, which has also been returned to UEFA.
“The PSP will continue the investigation and it is expected that in the coming days the number of suspects identified will increase, as will the amount of material recovered,” it said in a statement.
