The first images of Trooping the Colour (Charles III's birthday)

The Trooping the Colour event, which celebrates the birthday of King Charles III, takes place this Saturday in London.

The military ceremony will take place at Horse Guards Parade in St. James's Park and the monarch, accompanied by his wife, Queen Camilla, has already arrived at the venue.

Kate Middleton and her children, George, Charlotte and Louis, have already made their traditional journey in the carriage, as has Sofia, the Duchess of Edinburgh.

Both William and Princess Anne will participate in the military parade.
