Government summons Israeli ambassador to Portugal after attack on diplomats

The Government summoned the Israeli ambassador to Portugal to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MNE), following the Israeli attack on a delegation of diplomats, including the Portuguese ambassador Frederico Nascimento, in the West Bank.
“Portugal roundly condemns the attack by the Israeli army on the diplomatic delegation that visited Jenin, in the West Bank,” reads a statement from the MNE sent to newsrooms this Wednesday, adding that this “incident” calls “International Law into question, the Israeli Ambassador to Portugal [Oren Rosenblat] has already been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” it states.
It should be recalled that today, the Israeli army announced that it fired “warning shots” after an international group of more than 20 diplomats “deviated from the approved route” during the visit, including a Portuguese.
Speaking to Lusa, a source from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MNE) said that the Portuguese diplomat is doing well.
