Ives Gandra's daughter speaks out about lawsuit against her father: “Obsession”

In a post on the social network X, Angela Gandra, daughter of jurist Ives Gandra , criticized the proceedings against her father at the Brazilian Bar Association , São Paulo section (OAB-SP).

“My father Ives Gandra had to defend himself once again, orally arguing at the OAB, against the accusation of inciting a coup, at 90 years old, recently suffering a heart attack, 66 years of practicing law, for something he wrote in 1988. Obsession is completely nullifying the achievement of justice”, he stated, on Tuesday (20).

When referring to the year 1988, Angela recalled the fact that the jurist collaborated with the assembly that implemented the Constitution currently in force, which was born in that year.

Ives Gandra is responding to an ethical-disciplinary process brought by the Brazilian Press Association (ABI) and the National Human Rights Movement (MNDH) at the Ethics Court of the OAB-SP.

In the process, the entities point to investigations by the Federal Police (PF) that revealed a document on Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid's cell phone with the name Ives Gandra in which the viability of a military intervention by constitutional means is described.

Mauro Cid was an aide-de-camp to former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and is now a defendant in the Supreme Federal Court (STF) for involvement in what would be an attempted coup d'état.
