Beira-Mar secures more reinforcements

Beira-Mar announced yesterday the signing of Carlos Madureira, a 26-year-old goalkeeper from Trofense, a Liga 3 club, and João Pedra, a 19-year-old forward formerly of FC Porto. Goalkeeper Carlos Madureira was a starter for the Trofa team in seven games last season. Having trained at several northern clubs - Candal, Leixões, FC Porto, Coimbrões and Nogueirense - he joins Bozinoski and Pedro Neves, players who are transferring from last season and with whom he will compete for the starting spot in the Aveiro goal. The most recent addition to the “auri-negra” goal, after making his senior debut at Nogueirense, played for two clubs in the Aveiro district - Lourosa and Fiães - and had experience abroad, more specifically at Peimari United, in Finland. Rio Tinto, Mirandela, Pedras Rubras and Vila Real were the other clubs he has represented in his career. Young João Pedra, who plays as a winger, made 15 appearances and made two assists for the “dragões” under-19 team, where he did most of his training, but interestingly he spent his first three years as a footballer in Taboeira’s under-9 and under-10 teams before transferring to FC Porto.
Yesterday, Beira-Mar also officially announced Bruno Cruz (ex-Arroches and Benfica), a left-back who Diário de Aveiro had already announced as a reinforcement, in addition to announcing, on Wednesday, the signing of Brazilian Pietro Romano, a 25-year-old attacking midfielder, ex-Alcains, and Tiago Sério, a 22-year-old central defender, ex-Académico de Viseu.
