Goodbye! He's leaving Cruzeiro to play for São Paulo

Striker Juan Dinenno is leaving Cruzeiro and will join São Paulo until December 2025. The loan agreement between the clubs was sealed on Sunday (June 8) and, currently, the last bureaucratic details are being completed for the official announcement.
The Argentine player, who underwent a long recovery process after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), has fully recovered from the injury. However, even after returning to the pitch, Dinenno was unable to establish himself under the command of the Celeste coaching staff.

The transfer is strategic, especially for São Paulo, which is looking for an offensive solution in light of Calleri's prolonged absence. The Argentine center forward of the São Paulo club is only expected to be fit to return to the field in 2026, according to the rehabilitation schedule.
In fact, Dinenno's arrival represents a specific alternative for the Tricolor's offensive sector. According to sources close to the negotiation, the contract between the parties does not include a purchase clause at the end of the period, but is merely a transfer for a fixed period.
Meanwhile, at Cruzeiro, the move is also in line with the board's plan to reorganize the squad. The striker had few opportunities after returning from injury and his temporary departure opens up space for other options in the group.
Dinenno arrived in Brazilian football surrounded by expectations, but faced difficulties from his adaptation to physical problems. Despite showing potential in some matches, the striker did not have a solid sequence at Cruzeiro, especially after the serious knee injury, which kept him off the pitch for a long period.
While the transfer has not yet been made official by the clubs, the move is already considered certain behind the scenes. São Paulo's board hopes to have the player as soon as possible, including already starting the integration into the squad led by Zubeldía, so that the athlete is available for the next rounds of the Brazilian Championship.
Finally, the negotiation highlights an alignment of interests between the two clubs. São Paulo gains an experienced name to lead the attack, while Cruzeiro seeks to rebalance the squad in the middle of the season. The official announcement should be made in the next few days.
