Grêmio president blasts refereeing: 'We were operated on'

Grêmio 's iconic 3-2 comeback victory in the Gre-Nal wasn't enough to overlook the refereeing errors, according to club members. So, president Alberto Guerra acted as the Immortal's spokesperson and expressed his outrage at the match's decisions.
"It's been a while since I've seen what happened here, it's been a while since I've seen a team undergo as much surgery as Grêmio did here, and even so, luckily, Grêmio managed to come away with a positive result," complained the president.
"There are several situations where I don't know what's happening, but Grêmio has been severely harmed again," added the director.
Alberto Guerra compared the refereeing performance at Gre-Nal with another episode that Mano Menezes went through at Grêmio, during his first stint.
"What we saw here today was surreal, almost like the Battle of the Afflicted all over again. He (Mano Menezes) was the coach there, because three penalties, the way it was, was crazy," the president condemned.
"Let's count the points that are left behind after these refereeing errors. In Gre-Nal alone, we dropped almost two more today," concluded the president.
With the positive result, Imortal reached 12th place and surpassed Inter itself, having reached 28 points. Grêmio returns to the field to face Botafogo in a delayed duel for the 16th round of the Brasileirão, next Wednesday (24), at the Arena.
