João Almeida second in the third stage of the Tour of Switzerland

Portuguese cyclist João Almeida (UAE Emirates) was second in the third stage of the Tour of Switzerland, this Tuesday, behind the American Quinn Simmons (Lidl Trek), after which the Frenchman Romain Grégoire (Groupama FDJ) maintained the lead.
Quinn Simmons completed the 195.5-kilometre stage between Aarau and Heiden in 4:39.42 hours and crossed the finish line with an 18-second advantage over João Almeida, in second place, and the British Óscar Obley (Team Picnic PostNL), in third.
Romain Grégoire, fourth in the stage, maintained his position as the overall leader, with 11:26.01 hours, which did not suffer any change in the first eight positions, and in which João Almeida, pointed out as one of the candidates, rose 12 places, to 17th place, 3.17 minutes behind.
