Santa Cruz announces former Internacional striker to compete in Série D

Seeking to further qualify the squad for the final stretch of the Brazilian Championship Series D, Santa Cruz has signed experienced striker Ariel Nahuelpán, 37 years old.

The Argentine player has played for clubs in Central and South America, such as Pumas in Mexico and Peñarol in Uruguay. In Brazil, he played for Internacional and Coritiba. Before joining Tricolor do Arruda, Ariel was with PSBS in Indonesia, where he played 15 matches, scored two goals and provided two assists.

The striker also has spells at Jorge Wilstermann (Bolivia), Mazatlán, Tijuana, Pachuca and Querétaro (Mexico), Tigre and Nueva Chicago (Argentina), LDU (Ecuador), Racing (Spain).

Santa Cruz's next match in Série D is against Treze-PB, in the last round of the group stage. The game is scheduled for this Sunday (27), at 4 pm (Brasília time), at Arena Pernambuco.
