JAKARTA, Aug 17 — SIA Novosti. Dozens of people were injured when a magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck Indonesia's Central Sulawesi province early Sunday, the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) said. "The quake, at a depth of 10 kilometers, shook Poso regency and was felt in nearby areas. Twenty-nine people were injured, two of them in critical condition," the agency said in a statement. BNBP added that there were no reports of casualties yet. Indonesia is located on the so-called "Pacific Ring of Fire," an area of high seismic activity where different plates of the earth's crust meet and cause a large number of earthquakes. A magnitude 6.2 earthquake that shook Sulawesi in January 2021 killed more than 100 people and left thousands homeless.

JAKARTA, Aug 17 — RIA Novosti. Dozens of people were injured when a magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck Indonesia's Central Sulawesi province early Sunday morning, the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) said.
"An earthquake at a depth of 10 kilometers shook Poso County and was felt in nearby areas. Twenty-nine people were injured, two of them in critical condition," the agency said in a statement.
BNBP added that there were no reports of casualties yet.
